Quicksilver Fantasies Solo Gaming Adventures
This is a set of gaming modules I purchased many years ago (1981/82), and are simple text-based games, originally written to be used just by flipping pages in little booklets, selecting the appropriate paragraph, reading it, determining what your character does, etc. ...

I spent some time putting all this together in dB2K, and more specifically dB2K release 0.4 (because this doesn't use the Borland Database Engine).

Included here are both the source for those curious in seeing it, and a full install using Inno Setup ... the install is for those who just want to run the thing. Note that this is a "gimme" -- I am making no money from this, and I've credited the folk who wrote the original works.

NOTE: This is "beta" software, in that I cannot guarantee that it's "bug free", and that no typos exist in the text. To that end, if you find a problem look at the screen and in the lower left corner is a small code -- drop me a note, tell me the adventure you're running, the code (it will be something like "C1B"), and what the problem is. If you got to that point in a way that made no sense, tell me briefly what happened. It's possible I screwed up and got an incorrect reference somewhere. Thanks ...

QuicksilverSource.zip -- Quicksilver Source Code -- This requires dB2K, although it doesn't absolutely require release 0.4, as I'm not using any special features other than the ability to deploy without the Borland Database Engine. There's no readme file, the program starts execution by using the program "start.prg" ...

QuicksilverInstall.zip -- Quicksilver Fantasies Install -- This is the actual software, deployable, and installable. Doesn't require anything except itself, but because of the install software it's fairly large -- it's about 2,681 Kilobytes, so it will take a bit of time to download on a slow connection. When you download it, unzip it and run the SETUP.EXE program. Follow the screens, and there you go.
