Hirsch's Log
Called Aaron today to give him the condo phone number, and to make sure he knew we were here and rarin’ to go. Found out that the Hideout, which is where we’re performing Monday through Thursday, changed the layout of the theatre. Aaron told them that this was bad, since we couldn’t possibly fit the sets in there. So, tomorrow (Sunday) they’re re-vamping the theatre again back to the way it was when the contracts were signed for all this. Some of our folk may go to the Hideout, and help with this – which will also give them a chance to scope the place out.
We ended up, due to not really having any real lines of communication, combined with the fact that some folk needed some “flake” time, mostly not showing up for any performances. Anne met up with some friends of hers locally, and went out to go see shows, and hang out with them.
We had everyone but Michael and Iana (seemed silly to make them drive out here) at our condo to have lunch and discuss “plans”. We’ve decided that each day around 10:30am we’ll get together, discuss what people want to do that day, and then we can head out from there. This is because some folk may want to see performances (there are some in the daytime) and some may want to do workshops, some may want to come into town later in the day.
Michael and Iana may see shows this evening, and Anne and her friends are going too.
I spent a bit of time online today to look at the workshops, and some of them are REALLY interesting looking (including one two-day (two-part) workshop ...). I was getting details for those morning meetings ...

Juan's Log
Taking it really easy today.
Did a store run to get groceries and such. I forgot the USB cable to attach my digital camera to my laptop. Figures. I couldn't find a cable to replace it either. Bum rap. I ended up buying a cheap camera and film to give me the flexibility I wanted. Oh well. I'll probably just get the pictures developed to CD at Bay Photo.
People are tired and fried. The nice thing though is that everyone is realizing that if we treat this like a vacation, then we'll all be better for it and able to deal with each other without getting too crazy.
We had a planning meeting and decided that the best thing to do would be to get together every morning at 10:30 to decide what we are doing for the day. (My idea and I'm glad I got it out. I think it will help people stay sane.)
There is some stuff to be done tonight at the festival, but I want the down time to settle in. Staying in to do dinner and probably will end up playing Chez Geek. <G>
     Later -
Yup. Played Chez Geek. Also ended up writing new Chez Geek cards based on GSP/SCA stuff. We may even print up the cards and play a round or two with them. Mostly we did it because it was funny.
I have a feeling that Chez Geek is going to be a life saver for some of us.<G> For those of you interested in what Chez Geek is, go to:
